What is giulio cesare battleship?

Giulio Cesare was an Italian battleship commissioned in 1914 and served during both World Wars. It was the lead ship of its class and was named after Julius Caesar. It was armed with 10 12-inch guns, 12 6-inch guns, and numerous smaller guns and torpedo tubes. The ship served in the Mediterranean during World War I, but was heavily modernized in the late 1930s to remain relevant for World War II. During the conflict, it saw action in several major naval battles, including the Battle of Cape Matapan in 1941, where it helped sink three British cruisers, and the Battle of Calabria in 1940. Despite being struck by several enemy torpedoes and bombs, the ship survived the war and was eventually scrapped in 1950.
